Changhua is the second wind farm to be installed in Taiwan located along the West Coast with construction activity starting offshore next year. The project has a total capacity of 109.2MW consisting of 21 offshore turbines installed on 4 legged jackets.
The award builds on Tekmar’s success in the region, after being selected for several adjacent windfarms including the Formosa project 1 Phase 1 & 2, of which Phase 2 is also executed by Jan De Nul.
As part of the project, Tekmar will be supplying their latest TekLink® Generation 8 cable protection system for all inter array and export cables, the bellmouth for the foundations, and the hang-off systems to secure the cable internally.
